Good news! If the items you’re after are ‘In stock‘ and you place your order before 5pm (GMT/BST), we usually get them shipped out to you on the next working day (that’s Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays).
Some books are printed to order and therefore take a little longer to despatch. For these, a despatch estimate is given on the product page.
Where possible, we offer a range of delivery options with different estimated delivery times. You can see our estimates in the tables below. Please choose the service that best suits your needs when you reach the checkout.
Just so you know, all delivery estimates are provided by our trusted shipping partners and are based on their usual service. At busy times of year and if you need your items by a specific date, we suggest opting for a faster delivery service and ordering a bit earlier.
For our customers in the USA and Australia, please be aware that some books and all log books are printed locally for you. These are then sent via surface mail, which means they might take an extra 2-5 working days to leave the printing facility.

Great news! We now offer Flat Rate shipping, which means you only pay one simple fee no matter how many wonderful books you decide to order. We’re happy to deliver our books all over the world (currently, the only exceptions are Russia and Belarus). Plus, if your order reaches a certain value, you’ll qualify for Free Delivery! Good news for our US customers! You won’t see any extra taxes added during the checkout process. However, it’s worth being aware that you might still be responsible for any potential import duties. Historically, books have often been exempt from US tariffs. If you’d like to double-check the current situation, we recommend getting in touch with your local customs authority.
To help you avoid any potential duties, we clearly state the Place of Origin in the ‘Additional Information’ section for each book. Even better, some of our books are printed in the USA on demand, which means they arrive completely free of any import duties!

European Union orders
You can easily find the specific delivery cost for your region by checking the Europe Zone tables above (Zone 1, 2, or 3).
For EU Consumer Orders Under £130: For consumer orders within the European Union that are under £130, the applicable local Value Added Tax (VAT) will be clearly displayed and added to your order during the checkout process, based on your delivery address. We also work with trusted partner services to ensure your parcel typically passes through customs without any additional fees for you to worry about.
From 1 July 2026, EU orders under €150 will also be subject to a new, additional, €3 customs duty. This is applied per product line. At our website, you will usually only need to pay this once (just €3 for the whole order), as most of our products are covered by the same HS Tariff Code. Please contact us if you are charged unexpected amounts – this is a new, evolving charge, and we understand the frustration it may cause our European customers and will do what we can to help. In order to reduce the likelihood of customers being charged additionally, we have temporarily disabled shipping methods which may cause these problems. All orders to the EU will be sent tracked until further notice.
For EU Business Orders: Please note that business orders (where you enter a business name during checkout) within the European Union will be zero-rated during checkout, BUT you will have to pay import VAT and customs duty (which may cost you more) on import. You will be contacted by your local customs or the carrier to collect the charge.

For EU Orders Over £130: For orders over £130 being shipped to the European Union, VAT will not be added at our checkout. However, please be aware that you will be responsible for any customs charges, import duties, and other fees that may be applied by your local authorities. Please also note that these parcels may take a little longer to arrive due to customs procedures.
Alternative Ways to Purchase: You can also find our books conveniently available through various third-party websites across Europe, such as Amazon and eBay, as well as in local bookshops (usually to order).
For Large EU Orders: If you are interested in placing a bulk order for delivery within the EU, we recommend considering ordering directly from our distributors for potentially more efficient handling.
Pre-orders
We’re excited to get your pre-ordered books to you right on their official UK release date! Our goal is for you to receive them as close to this date as possible.
Combining Pre-order and In-Stock Items:
Here’s how we handle orders with a mix of pre-order and in-stock items, depending on your delivery location:
- For UK Deliveries: If your order includes both in-stock and pre-order books, we’ll automatically split your order and send out the in-stock items straight away. This way, you’ll receive those as quickly as possible, and your pre-ordered books will follow when they’re released.
- For International Deliveries: For orders being shipped outside the UK, we’ll typically wait until all items in your order are available before sending them together. If you’d prefer to receive your in-stock items sooner, we kindly ask that you place separate orders for those and your pre-order titles.
Important Note Regarding Shipping Costs:
While we always do our best to maintain our shipping prices, in the rare event of a significant increase in shipping costs between the time you place your pre-order and the release date of the book, we may need to contact you to discuss alternative options. In such unusual circumstances, we do reserve the right to decline to fulfil the order if necessary, but we will always reach out to you first to find a solution together.
