Our Commitment to Product Safety & EU Compliance

At Dived Up Publications, we are deeply committed to ensuring the safety and quality of every product we offer. We understand the importance of trust and transparency, especially when it comes to the products you bring into your home.

We rigorously adhere to all relevant European Union (EU) product safety regulations, including the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR), which came into full effect on 13 December 2024. Our commitment ensures that all products placed on or made available to the EU market meet stringent safety requirements.

Our Role and Responsibilities

As a manufacturer and distributor we take our responsibilities under the GPSR very seriously. This includes:

  • Ensuring Product Safety: All our products undergo thorough internal risk assessments and meet the general safety requirement of the GPSR before being placed on the market.
  • Traceability: Our products are clearly marked with all necessary identification and contact details for full traceability throughout the supply chain.
  • Documentation: We maintain comprehensive technical documentation to demonstrate product conformity with safety requirements.
  • Cooperation: We cooperate fully with market surveillance authorities to address any product safety concerns promptly and effectively.

Our Supply Chain: Safety from Source to Shelf

We believe that product safety starts at the source. That’s why we have established robust processes for selecting and collaborating with our suppliers and printers:

  • Vetted Partners: We work exclusively with trusted suppliers and printers who are committed to meeting stringent EU regulations regarding environmental protection and chemical safety.
  • Chemical Compliance: This includes strict adherence to regulations such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), which governs the safe use of chemical substances, and where applicable to our product types, RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). We ensure that inks, glues, paper, and any other materials used in our products meet these high standards, safeguarding against harmful chemical content.
  • Quality Control: Our partners maintain their own rigorous quality control measures, which we periodically review, to ensure the consistent safety and compliance of all materials and manufacturing processes.

Our Products: Designed for Safety

Our products, generally books and other printed items, are carefully designed and manufactured with safety as a paramount consideration.

  • Materials: We use high-quality, sustainably sourced paper, non-toxic, child-safe inks, and durable binding materials.
  • Age Appropriateness: Our products are designed with appropriate age groups in mind, and any relevant age warnings are clearly displayed.
  • Risk Mitigation: We identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with the product’s design, composition, packaging, and intended use, ensuring they are safe for consumers, particularly vulnerable groups like children where applicable.

Our EU Authorised Representative

As a business established outside the EU, we are legally required under GPSR to have an EU-based Authorised Representative. This entity acts as our point of contact for EU market surveillance authorities and helps ensure our ongoing compliance.

Our EU Authorised Representative is:

Easy Access System Europe – Mustamäe tee 50, 10621 Tallinn, Estonia.
easproject.com
‭+372 5696 8939
gpsr.requests@easproject.com

They play a vital role in verifying compliance documentation, liaising with authorities, and assisting with any necessary corrective actions or incident reporting within the EU.
